We're coming up to week 6 of lecture phase and so far its been everything I'd hoped for and more. To be honest, my mind and heart have been absorbing more in the past few weeks than I've ever been used to, and trying to emulate all that's been done in my relationship with Jesus in a blog post has me left searching for words. Each day I'm challenged in a new way of thinking, living and actively pursuing Jesus regardless of any situation life throws my way. Each week has a new topic on Jesus and every single one has genuinely been fruitful for me in it's own uniqueness. Week one was 'Hearing God's Voice', week two 'Humanity of Jesus', week three 'Truth & Lies, Forgiveness/Repentance' week four 'Holy Spirit' week five 'Kingdom Sexuality' and 'Friendship of Jesus' split in two separate lectures and this coming week being 'Fear of the Lord'.
Lectures aside, I'm preparing throughout these weeks with my outreach team to advance God's work in the government of Papua New Guinea! My team and I are taking a class to prepare for outreach that is specifically geared towards government and justice. We will be spending a few short weeks in Australia working alongside them in learning how to better minister to PNG. We will then spend the majority of the trip in PNG meeting with parliament and building relationships with the Papua New Guineans. I am so eager to see what reformation is brought to this nation during and after our time spent there! My own personal walk with Jesus is being expanded too as I see His heart in an area I personally haven't spent much time learning about: God's view on government. Above all else I'm so excited to show the love of Jesus to these people over the next two months! For prayer, I ask that above all else I focus first on knowing Jesus and staying near to Him. For my team, I ask that you pray for unity, victory over our fears that leads to boldness in our ministry, and for God to reveal His heart for each person we meet! God's hand is so clearly over the people of Papua New Guinea, and it's honestly such a gift to have God use us to bring love to this nation. I'm also still raising funds for the outreach portion of my DTS. Please prayerfully consider partnering with me financially for this trip. I believe God has me on this team and mission for a very valuable purpose and I so badly want you to be a part of it. I have nearly $2,500 left to fundraise in the next two and a half weeks in order to go on outreach! if you would like to donate please follow this link: www.gofundme.com/corrinnedouglassdts Thank you for loving me on this journey! Blessings, Corrinne Douglass
